Eugene “Rico” Williams III is a proud native son of Scotlandville whose life and leadership are deeply rooted in North Baton Rouge. Grounded in the values of hard work, service, and community, Rico has dedicated himself to creating opportunities for young people and families across District 3.
As a school administrator, Rico understands the importance of strong leadership, safe schools, and high expectations for every child. In his role, he works daily to support students, strengthen school culture, and help build environments where young people can succeed. His leadership is not just about title this is about trust, consistency, and a commitment to doing what is right for the community.
Rico earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Political Science at Southern University, further preparing himself to serve with knowledge, vision, and purpose. In 2014, he founded Men and Women of Empowerment Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting youth, supporting families, and helping build stronger communities. As President and Executive Director, he continues to lead with service at the center of everything he does.
Deeply committed to the future of North Baton Rouge, Rico believes District 2 deserves strong leadership that listens, works hard, and fights for real progress. His mission is simple: to uplift people, strengthen neighborhoods, and help ensure every resident has a fair chance to thrive.
